Two-Wheel Thrills at Snetterton this weekend

Sunday, May 14 2017

Snetterton is set for a busy weekend of motorcycle racing on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May, with a packed racing timetable from the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC) at the Norfolk circuit.

The BMCRC attracts massive entries and boasts an immense race programme featuring a wide variety of two-wheeled racing machines.

The riders will relish the challenges that the Snetterton 300 circuit offers with its long straights enabling riders to go full throttle whilst the twisty infield tests their bravado and skills to the limit with some fantastic overtaking opportunities.

The most impressive machines on display in terms of outright pace will appear in the MRO Powerbikes series, which is open to all 1000cc bikes, with heavily tuned machines racing alongside stock bikes. These races are run to open rules, meaning that competitors can experiment with a wide variety of tyres and advanced performance parts as they search for the ultimate lap time.

There will be plenty of rookies involved over the two days, with first year novice licence holders competing in the 600 and 1000 classes. This is a great chance to see talented young riders learning their race craft in a bid to become a future star.

The Yamaha Past Masters and Blue Haze 2-stroke GP Series will recreate times gone by with an abundance of retro bikes to complement the modern machinery on circuit this weekend.

The paddock will be open, allowing spectators to meet the teams and riders, whilst also taking a closer look at the bikes as they're prepared for battle.

Tickets for the BMCRC Bike Championships are available online for £10 or on the gate for £15, with free entry for under-13s. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
